Several flights were delayed while a few had to be diverted to Bengaluru due to heavy fog in Chennai today Morning, according to Chennai airport authorities.

As many as 10 people were injured in a multiple-vehicle collision that took place near Walajahpet Toll Plaza on Chennai-Bengaluru Highway in Chennai on Tuesday.

Around six flights were diverted this morning due to poor visibility amid fog conditions at the Chennai airport in Tamil Nadu. Around 10 flights have also been delayed due to bad weather conditions, reported news agency ANI. A total of four flights have been diverted to Hyderabad, while another was diverted to Tiruchirappalli.

Chennai fog: The flight diversion took place on Spice Jet, Go Air, Air India, Air Asia, Emirates, Vistara and Indigo. The airlines also updated the passengers about the flight delays and also apologised to the disgruntled passengers.
