Forest Students Dharna

Seeking to attract the attention of the AIADMK Government, students of Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI) at nearby Mettupalayam, today held photographs of the party supremo Jayalalithaa during their 28-day long agitation pressing their twin demands.

Renewing their demand to give them preference in appointments in the forest department, about 200 students of the Forest College and Research Institute at nearby Mettupalayam boycotted classes and staged a dharna on the campus.
