The Supreme Court has asked the two top most officials of Bihar to be present in court and explain why a former minister linked to the probe has not been traced.

The Patna High Court today reserved its order on an anticipatory bail petition filed by former Bihar social welfare minister Manju Verma in connection with the recovery of cartridges from her in-laws' place during a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raid, as part of the probe into the Muzaffarpur shelter home sex-scandal case.

Two separate courts yesterday rejected the anticipatory bail petitions of Bihar's former social welfare minister Manju Verma and her husband Chandrashekhar Verma in connection with the recovery of cartridges from her in-laws' residence during a recent CBI raid as part of the probe into the Muzaffarpur shelter home sex scandal.

An FIR was registered against Bihar's former social welfare minister Manju Verma and her husband under Arms Act following the recovery of 50 cartridges from her in-law's house during a CBI raid in connection with the Muzaffarpur shelter home sex scandal, police said.
