Ftii Students Asked To Vacate Hostel

The protesting students of Pune's Film and Television Institute of India have hit back at the administration for asking 30 students to vacate the hostel, calling their decision as "tyrannical", as their strike entered the 58th day.

In a sign of government's hardening stance against the protests in Pune's Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), a group of 30 students have been asked to vacate the hostel for overstaying after completion of their course, notice for eviction have been pasted on the hostel doors, according to top officials.

Toughening its stand, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) management today asked 30 students who have already completed their course, to vacate their hostel rooms even as the students' agitation seeking removal of the chairman entered the 58th day.
