Ganesh Idol Immersion Last Day Mumbai

As many as 18 special train services will be operated on Mumbai's suburban railway network on the night of Anant Chaturdashi, the 10th and last day of the Ganapati festival, on September 28 for passengers returning after immersion of Ganesha idols.

A total of 34,452 idols of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Gauri were immersed in water bodies across Mumbai on the last day of the Ganpati festival held under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic for the second year in a row, civic officials said on Monday.

Ganesh Visarjan: Devotees in Mumbai and Pune bid farewell to Lord Ganesha today as the curtains came down on the ten-day of Ganesh Chaturthi festival. The visarjan or immersion, which in previous years used to be an elaborate affair, was low-key in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
