A 35-year-old Intelligence Bureau (IB) official was arrested for allegedly stalking a woman police constable in the eastern suburb of Ghatkopar, Mumbai, police said today.

A 45-year-old woman was today arrested as she allegedly tried to steal toilet seats and wash basins from a stationary train at suburban Ghatkopar station, Railway police said.

The Mumbai police force-fed four dozen bananas to a chain-snatcher to recover a stolen gold chain he had swallowed to escape public wrath, an officer said in Mumbai on Saturday.

A 33-year-old GVK security guard was kidnapped and assaulted by a group of youths from Ghatkopar after he chatted on Facebook with one of their girlfriends.
