UP Gets Supreme Court Notice Over Yogi Adityanath's Alleged Hate Speech

The Supreme Court has asked the Uttar Pradesh government to respond within four weeks in the alleged hate speech by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2007. The bench served a notice while hearing a plea challenging an Allahabad High Court order which said that Yogi Adityanath can't be prosecuted in the case.

A ruling BJP lawmaker and 27 other people have been charged with rioting and criminal conspiracy, following a brawl over a land dispute in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur, police said today. Kamlesh Paswan, the sitting lawmaker from Bansgaon constituency, and others were booked last night in connection with the dispute in Rustampur area.
