Kerala Police registered a case against a senior doctor of the state-run General Hospital in Kochi for allegedly making unwarranted sexual advances towards a junior, forcibly hugging and kissing her in his private consultation room four years ago.

M Sivasankar, the former principal secretary to Kerala chief minister, was on Saturday night admitted at the Government Medical College Hospital in Kochi after he complained of uneasiness, sources said.

Dr. Rajesh Kotecha, Special Secretary, Union Ministry of AYUSH said that the government is ready to extend its support for attempts at building an integrative medicine. He inaugurated the international conference on integrative Ayurveda and modern medicine at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences at Kochi on Sunday.

They were wheelchair-bound but their passion for music and rendering popular songs brought joy to the inmates of the Government General Hospital at Ernakulam.

An 83-year-old patient was killed and three others were injured when a man admitted to government hospital here turned violent and went on an attacking spree in the wee hours today.
