Gujarat Chemical Unit Fire

A day after a major fire engulfed a chemical manufacturing facility in Gujarat's Surat city, bodies of seven missing workers were recovered from the premises in the early hours of Thursday, officials said.

Five labourers were killed and 16 workers injured, some critically, after a huge explosion and a massive fire at a chemical unit in Gujarat's Panchmahal district on Thursday, officials said.

The stock made a low of Rs 215 on the National Stock Exchange compared to Wednesday's close of Rs 268.70.
