Gurgaon Mock Quake Drill

A mock earthquake drill in Gurgaon failed on Thursday because of non-cooperation of other agencies, including an expressway contractor, volunteers have said, and added that the equipment did not work and a hospital failed to provide stretchers for dummy victims.

A mock earthquake rescue drill will be held in Gurgaon, including on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway, on Thursday and will affect traffic, an official said on Wednesday.

A mock drill will be conducted in Gurgaon on July 20 by the Haryana state and district administration in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to test the level of preparedness for an earthquake, an official said on Saturday.
