A group of 20 Christian missionaries from Hyderabad have alleged that they were detained by the police in Jaipur and then beaten inside a police station. They claimed that the incident happened on Thursday afternoon, when they were distributing pamphlets, after running into trouble with some locals.

A pastor at the Hebron church in Bangalore has been detained by police for allegedly indulging in illegal conversions of school children. Thirty one-year-old Victor Babu was detained on a complaint by a man and also after a large number of residents in the locality staged a protest, demanding action against him for his act, police said.
