Hijack Alarm Incident

A Saudi Arabian Airlines plane was temporarily isolated after landing at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Tuesday following a false hijack alarm, airline and airport officials said.

Lashing out at Air India over the recent hijack alarm incident at the airport in Thiruvananthapuram , Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Monday said what had happened could only be seen as "sheer cruelty" by the airline authorities towards passengers from the state.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy ordered a probe into the incident of protest by passengers of an Air India flight at the International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday that led to a hijack alarm.
