The state vigilance department has arrested a former secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Staff Service Commission (HPSSC) in connection with the Junior Office Assistant (Information Technology) exam paper leak case, officials said.

The Congress government on Tuesday disbanded the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission whose functioning was suspended after a paper leak was detected in December last year.

The forensic examination of electronic devices recovered by the Vigilance department investigating the leak of an exam paper has indicated that the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission employees were involved in recruitment scams.
