Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission

The Congress government on Tuesday disbanded the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission whose functioning was suspended after a paper leak was detected in December last year.

The forensic examination of electronic devices recovered by the Vigilance department investigating the leak of an exam paper has indicated that the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission employees were involved in recruitment scams.

The Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government suspended the functioning of the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission over a recruitment exam paper leak, saying it appears that the commission has not discharged its duties objectively.

Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC) has announced over 1,600 vacancies in various departments and organisations.

Through this recruitment, HPSSSB will fill vacancies in H.P.Power Transmission Corporation Ltd., H.P. State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd., State Election Commission and other organisations.

MBBS doctors' vacancy would be filled by the HPPSC, while the nurseswould be employed on contractual basis through the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur.

Eligible candidates should apply on or before 15 October 2017.
