Hong Kong has launched its e-HKD CBDC into pilot. This essentially means that Hong Kong will be conducting tests to determine how the CBDC could be used to process full-fledged payments, programmable payments, offline payments, tokenised deposits, settlement of Web3 transactions as well as settlement of tokenised assets.
