Finance Ministry Likely To Approve Rs. 4,000 Crore For FAME 2.0 Scheme

The finance ministry is likely to approve a subsidy outlay of nearly Rs. 4,000 crore for the second phase of FAME India. Unlike the first phase, the the second phase of the scheme is expected to entail subsidy only for electric buses and setting up of charging infrastructure for all categories of vehicles.

Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis today officially handed over twenty-five Tata Starbus hybrid-electric buses to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority a.k.a. MMRDA. Developed indigenously by Tata Motors, the buses can be experienced on the Bandra Kurla Complex route.
