Cabinet May Consider Rs 17,000 Crore Hydro Power Policy This Month

The Union Cabinet may take up for approval this month the hydro-power policy which aims to provide Rs 16,709 crore support for stalled 40 hydel projects, entailing 11,639 MW capacity, and to classify all such ventures as renewable energy.
