Shares in IRB Infra plunged over 10 per cent on Thursday on reports that the Corporate Affairs Ministry has begun an initial inquiry into companies that have invested in the BJP president Nitin Gadkari's businesses.

Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh has written to the Prime Minister demanding a probe into corruption allegations against BJP President Nitin Gadkari by the Serious Frauds Investigation Office. In his letter, Mr Singh refered to NDTV "exhaustive investigation" in to Purti Power and Sugar Limited.
