The Congress on Tuesday said the government circular asking IITs and central universities to host rock bands performing patriotic numbers was "very funny" and "insulting to the young people".

The HRD Ministry has asked IITS and central universities to host rock bands which would be performing patriotic numbers in college campuses. The ministry has identified certain bands, as part of the "Yeh India ka time hai" programme.
