At least 20 pilgrims from Nepal and a person from Uttar Pradesh were injured on Sunday after their bus rammed into a truck on NH-16 in Odisha's Balasore district, police said.

Windscreens of four trucks were damaged in Dharchula, a border town, and their drivers had to jump into Kali river to save themselves as they were attacked with stones from Nepal, officials said on Saturday.

Six people, including the driver of an ambulance carrying them, were killed when the vehicle collided with a truck in Nepal's Sunsari district, the police said.

For the first time in over four months, trucks from India entered Nepal through a key border trade point today as local traders from both sides burned down tents set up by Madhesi protesters.
