The Indian sports ministry had on Tuesday cleared the football teams' participation in the mega event at no cost to the federation, but delay in getting accreditation from the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) meant the AIFF had to cancel the tickets to Incheon for a second time last night, before repeating the process Wednesday.

A Shanghai court sentenced a Chinese man who admitted he killed a New Zealand taxi driver to 15 years in prison Wednesday, citing his remorse as a reason for not imposing a harsher sentence. Xiao Zhen was arrested last year in China for the alleged murder of taxi driver Hiren Mohini, 39, in Auckland in January 2010.
