India-Bangladesh Bus Service: The cross-border bus service between Bangladesh and India resumed on Friday, two years after its suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pilot scheme of the Indian High Commission in Dhaka enabling women travelling to India to apply for visas without an e-token or prior appointment will end on Thursday, an official said.

India is closely monitoring the Bangladesh hostage crisis even as officials in Delhi maintained that so far all Indian High Commission staffers in Dhaka were reportedly safe.

Though India and Pakistan have been warming up to each other officially in recent months, with meetings focusing on how to reduce their infamous trust deficit, the intelligence agencies on both sides continue to plot against each other.

The Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, along with the embassies of the US and the UK, was the target of Pakistan-based terror outfit LeT.
