Indian National Killed In Yemen

The Delhi High Court on Monday asked the Centre whether it was willing to grant permission to the mother of a Kerala woman, who is on death row in Yemen for killing a Yemeni national, to travel to that country to negotiate blood money.

Three people including two Indian nationals were killed and six wounded as a suspected drone attack blew up petrol tanks near a major oil storage facility in the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi.

Five people were killed and at least 40 missing on the Yemeni island of Socotra on Friday as Cyclone Mekunu pummelled the area then made its way towards the Arabian Peninsula's southern coast.

India today strongly advised its nationals to avoid travelling in "any circumstances, by any means, for any purpose" to war-torn Yemen, where an Indian nun has been killed and a priest abducted in recent attacks.
