Foxconn has expanded its activities in electric vehicles (EVs) in recent years, announcing deals with U.S. startup Fisker Inc and Thailand's energy group PTT PCL.

Electric vehicle (EV) battery startup Britishvolt and VKTR, part of Bakrie & Brothers' auto unit, said on Tuesday they would develop sustainable nickel refining capacity in Indonesia and look into building a battery plant there.

PT Tokopedia, Indonesia's largest online marketplace, has become the country's most valuable startup after raising $1 billion from existing investors including SoftBank, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Google Launchpad accelerator for mobile startups is available in India, Brazil, and Indonesia.
