Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said he had to go abroad three times in nine months after the Indo-China border stand-off began in May 2020 and insisted on building a robust defence industry in the country.

No infiltration has been reported along the India-China border in the last six months, the government said in parliament today in the middle of a stand-off in Ladakh and multiple attempts by the Chinese to "alter the Line of Actual Control (LAC)" or the de-facto border between the nations.

As the stand-off between India and China continues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that the Central government is afraid to take action against China.
