Indo-us Diplomatic Crisis

The current phase of Indo-US ties has its roots in the 1971 Bangladesh crisis as the two nations could develop a parallel approach on key areas of security and economy in spite of opposite views, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said on Monday.

The Indo-US diplomatic crisis that erupted in 2013 with the arrest of woman diplomat Devyani Khobragade was not only a "low point" in ties but both sides learnt "very important lessons" from it, a top official of the outgoing Obama administration has said.
