Former media baron Peter Mukerjea has agreed for a divorce to his wife Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, her lawyer said today.

Indrani Mukerjea, the former media entrepreneur, has served her husband Peter Mukerjea a legal notice for divorce. Indrani, lodged in the Byculla Women's Jail, said in her notice that their marriage had "irretrievably broken down".

A fortnight after Indrani Mukerjea asked for a quick divorce from husband Peter Mukerjea, she is now accusing him of plotting the abduction and murder of her daughter Sheena bora - a crime for which both of them were arrested in 2015. Adding insult to injury, Indrani submitted an application to court referring to Peter by his little known real name...

Even when they are locked away in separate prisons on murder charge and on the verge of divorce, Indrani and Peter Mukerjea continue to have husband-wife squabbles, as evidenced by her latest letter to him.
