Institute For Mentally Challenged

Gujarat will get a national- level institute focusing on treatment and development of differently-abled persons, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot said today. The minister made the announcement while speaking at the inaugural event of a workshop under Centre's Accessible India Campaign.

Emphasising on the need for more research work for the welfare of mentally challenged children, former President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam said that there was a need to find out what goes wrong in the brains of these children.
