Insurance Scam Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), raids are underway at 12 locations in Delhi and Rajasthan including, the house of the ex-press secretary, charted accountant and personal assistant of the former governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satyapal Malik.

The CBI on Wednesday conducted searches at premises of the then aide of former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik and eight other locations in Delhi and the Union Territory in the alleged insurance scam case, officials said.

Satya Pal Malik: The CBI will on Friday question former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik in connection with its probe in the alleged insurance "scam" in the Union Territory.

The Rs 20,000-crore plus Nirav Modi scam has led to the collapse of Punjab National Bank's share value and also posed a big question mark on the accountability and regulatory systems that govern our government-owned banks. Common investors and depositors have suffered while Mr Modi is celebrating in his luxury hotel suite in New York.
