WhatsApp is dropping support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 to force users to update their iPhone to a newer version or to upgrade their iPhone altogether. As a result of the update, WhatsApp users on the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c will no longer be able to receive support from the instant messaging app.
