Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) will hold on September 13 the final hearing on realty major DLF's plea against the Rs 86 crore penalty imposed on it by capital market regulator Sebi.

In one of its biggest penalty in a single case, Sebi in February had slapped fines totalling Rs 86 crore on DLF, its top executives, their family members and various other related entities for fraudulent transactions to mislead IPO investors back in 2007.

DLF Surges 9% on Reports of SAT Upholding its Plea Against Sebi

According to reports, the SAT has reduced the ban on DLF from three years to six months. Sebi had imposed a ban of three years on the realty major for flouting the IPO norms.
