US President Donald Trump said Thursday all American sanctions against Iran will be in full force on November 5, as he signed into law another legislation imposing hard-hitting sanctions on Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee backed legislation on Thursday that would impose new sanctions on Iran over its ballistic missile development, support for Islamist militant groups, weapons transfers and human rights violations.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday tried to shift the spotlight away from the Islamic State militant group and back to Iran, warning the United Nations that a nuclear-armed Tehran would pose a far greater threat than "militant Islamists on pickup trucks."

A special plane sent by the Indian government to bring back 46 Indian nurses, who were freed by Sunni militant group ISIS in war-torn Iraq, has not been given permission to land at the Erbil airport in Kurdistan region. Sources say the permission was denied due to some information deficit. The aircraft has been diverted to Iran, sources add.
