Isis Abducts Civilians

Children and hostages are being forced to fight alongside pro-ISIS gunmen waging a seven-week battle for a Philippine city, the country's military said today.

ISIS group fighters seized around 2,000 civilians to use as "human shields" Friday as they fled their stronghold of Manbij in northern Syria, US-backed forces and a monitor said.

The ISIS abducted at least 400 civilians including women and children after capturing new territory in an assault on Syria's eastern city of Deir Ezzor, a monitor said today.
