The captain of the stricken Costa Concordia liner told a friend a day after the disaster that a manager from the cruise company pressured him to sail too close to shore, the Italian media has reported.

As 200 of the 202 Indian crewmembers on board the Italian Cruise liner Costa Concordia that sank off the Tuscan Coast on Friday return home today and tomorrow, the cruise company has agreed upon a compensation package for them.
