From social media platforms to website to emails, the taxman is urging assessees to finish the income tax return filing process before the due date. The Income Tax Department today asked taxpayers to link their Aadhaar number with Permanent Account Number or PAN using an SMS-based facility.

The other five ITRs will soon be activated for filing on the e portal, a senior officer said.
