A Delhi court today deferred till next month pronouncing its order on framing of charges in a case in which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had named Congress leader Jagdish Tytler and jailed businessman Abhishek Verma in a charge sheet for allegedly sending a forged letter to then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2009.

Ahead of the Election Commission's formal announcement of the Lok Sabha election dates, the Congress' top leadership met for close to two hours on Tuesday to finalise their first list of candidates in politically crucial states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
