Former Indian High Commissioner Pakistan Gautam Bambawale said today that India succeeded in establishing strong links between Jaish-e- Mohammad chief Masood Azhar, Al-Qaeda and ISIS, leading to his designation as a "global terrorist".

Hours after China blocked a move to designate Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar a global terrorist, UN Security Council members today warned they "may be forced to pursue other actions" at the Security Council if Beijing continued with this policy.

Masood Azhar meets the criteria to be designated as a global terrorist and not doing so is against regional stability and peace, the US said on Tuesday, a day ahead of the crucial meeting at UN Security Council on the Jaish-e-Mohammed chief.
