Janakpuri West-kalkaji Mandir Metro

The 24.82-km-long Janakpuri West-Kalkaji Mandir stretch of the Delhi Metro's Magenta Line is all set to be inaugurated tomorrow that will bring domestic terminal of the city airport on the DMRC network and cut travel travel time between Noida and Gurgaon by at least 30 minutes.

A creative work depicting butterflies and another portraying latest fashion trends will be among some of the artworks lending an aesthetic touch to metro stations on the upcoming Janakpuri West-Kalkaji Mandir section of the Delhi Metro's Magenta Line.

The soon-to-be-opened Janakpuri West-Kalkaji Mandir section of the Delhi Metro's Magenta line will provide people easy access to the domestic terminal of the Indira Gandhi Airport and will also reduce the commuting time between Noida and Gurgaon to about 50 minutes.

The DMRC or Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will soon provide connectivity between Kalkaji Mandir and Janakpuri West stations. That was said by DMRC, entrusted with the task of construction and operation of rapid transport system Delhi Metro, in a statement on Tuesday. The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety or CMRS will be inspecting the 25 km long Magenta line running between Janakpuri West and Kalkaji Mandir from May 8 - 10, before it is thrown open to the public.
