A policeman, who was kidnapped by terrorists in south Kashmir's Shopian district last night, was found dead today with multiple bullet wounds in neighbouring Kulgam. Constable Javed Ahmad Dar was on leave and visiting his native village Vehil. He was kidnapped when he went out to buy medicines.

A 31-year-old Mumbai man arrested for funding a Pakistani spy 1,200 km away in Uttar Pradesh has claimed that he thought the money was for a charity. Javed Naviwala is the third person to have been arrested by the police in the espionage ring busted in Lucknow.
