A special court in Chennai has deferred passing orders in the illegal possession of heroin case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's disowned foster son V N Sudhakaran. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for 6 May. The case has also now been shifted to another court.

A special court in Chennai hearing the heroin possession case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's disowned foster son Mr V N Sudhakaran has deferred its orders for tomorrow. Mr Sudhakaran was arrested in 2001 for illegally possessing 88 grams of heroin at his home and office in Chennai. He is currently out on bail.
