An Indian-origin former senior civil servant in Singapore, who was sentenced to 10 weeks jail last year for misappropriating two iPads, has been aquitted by a court here today, citing "inconsistencies and gaps" in the evidence against him.

A 63-year-old Indian-origin Singaporean, who served as a defence force director, was today sentenced to 10 weeks' jail on corruption charges for misappropriating two iPads in September, 2011 while in office.
