Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student Roshni is "doing very well" though she remains in ICU four days after the attack by a besotted classmate, a doctor attending to her at the Safdarjung Hospital said on Sunday.

The 22-year-old JNU student who was seriously injured after being attacked allegedly by her male friend inside the University campus has been taken off the ventilator and is on her road to recovery, doctors said today.

22-year-old Roshni Gupta was operated upon this morning at Delhi's Safdurjang hospital. It was the second surgery performed on the JNU student, who was attacked by a classmate with a cleaver just outside their classroom at the prestigious university yesterday.
