Tamil Nadu Municipal Administration Minister K N Nehru courted a controversy when he shoved a party worker, who attempted to get close to newly inducted Youth Welfare and Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin at a reception held here.

A businessman and brother of former DMK minister K N Nehru was found dead on Thursday in Thiruvallursolai area. Police said K N Ramajayam had gone for an early morning walk alone, skipping his usual practice of going with his friends, and did not return home until 9.30 am, following which family members lodged a complaint.

Vigilance officials today conducted raids in the premises of former DMK minister N K K P Raja across Tamil Nadu in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The raids by officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption were in progress in Chennai and Erode districts, DVAC sources said.

Ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in Tamil Nadu today reasserted its commitment to continue action against land grabbing complaints in which many Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam men, including former ministers have been arrested.
