Over three years after rationalist MM Kalburgi was shot dead outside his home in Dharwad, his killers are yet to be identified and arrested. The Supreme Court today pulled up the Karnataka government and said "nothing has been done by the Karnataka police" in the case.

One of the weapons probably used in the murder of rationalist Narendra Dabholkar five years ago was not destroyed by the alleged killers as they believed it was "lucky" for them, CBI sources said.

The SIT probing the killing of journalist-activist Gauri Lankesh today claimed that five suspects, arrested in connection with the case, were also involved in rationalist M M Kalburgi's killing.
