A Central Bureau of Investigation or CBI court has framed charges against Suresh Kalmadi and nine others today for allegedly cheating, conspiring and causing a loss of over Rs. 90 crore to the exchequer in a Commonwealth Games or CWG-related corruption case.

Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking its response to the bail plea of Congress MP Suresh Kalmadi, accused of corruption in the organisation of the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games (CWG). The High Court cited the Supreme Court ruling that bail should be the rule and jail an exception.
