The inquiry report by the Mumbai municipal commissioner on the deadly fire at Kamla Mills compound here has confirmed the theory that flying embers from hookah served illegally at Mojo's Bistro was the trigger.

An 18-year-old student today approached the Bombay High Court, seeking a CBI investigation into the December 29 fire tragedy at an upscale pub at Kamala Mills compound in central Mumbai in which 14 people died.

As a fire ripped through a pub at Mumbai's Kamala Mills last night, killing 14 people, two young men made sure that the number of dead did not rise. Mahesh and Suraj Giri, who were in the next building, are believed to have saved over 50 people. Both work in the server room of a television station in the complex.
