Kanpur Cops Killed

The body of the police constable killed during an encounter with a notorious criminal was sent to his hometown Muzaffarnagar today.

Eight policemen, including an inspector and two sub-inspectors, were suspended for negligence in a parking dispute case in which two persons died in a village in Kanpur Dehat district, police officials said on Saturday.

Four people were killed and nine injured in a collision between a pickup van and a truck in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district on Wednesday, police said.

A 40-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and two minor children after suspecting her of having an extra-marital affair in the Kanpur Dehat area here, police said.
