Karbi Anglong Lynching Case

Two days after two people were killed by a mob in a Rohimapur, a remote village under Dokmoka police station of Karbi Anglong district in Assam after local residents suspected them of practicing witchcraft, till now 11 people have been arrested and a massive manhunt is on to nab the others, police sources said.

The Assam Police today filed a 844-page charge sheet against 48 people in the sensational mob lynching case of two youths in Karbi Anglong district in June this year.

Two persons were arrested today for their alleged involvement with the lynching of two men in Assam's Karbi Anglong district last week, taking the number of people arrested in the murder case to 30, a police official said.
