A Deputy Commissioner in Karnataka, S. Sasikanth Senthil, quit the IAS or Indian Administrative Service on Friday, saying in a letter that the "fundamental building blocks of democracy are being compromised in an unprecedented manner". He was the Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner.
