Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai To Meet Finance Minister

Ministers' panel on rate rationalisation is likely to suggest withdrawal of exemptions given to hospitals with room rates more than Rs 5,000 per day

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday is scheduled to hold a meeting with state MPs on various projects as well as call on central ministers, including Union Finance Minister.

The first meeting of the Group of Ministers set up for rationalising GST rates and to shore up revenue will be held soon, its chairman and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Friday.

Finance Ministry has set up two panels which will look into issues like rationalisation of GST slabs and easing compliance for tax payers.
